SQUIB MAINSAIL
Mainsail has been refined and subtly improved over the last two years. The result is an all round sail which is as effective on the sea as it is inland. The sail responds well to changes in trim whichnmake it effective throughout the wind range. The changes to the shaping have been aimed at making the sail smoother and fairer. The overall depth and power have remained the same. Most of this work has been focussed on the lower half of the sail to improve the interaction between mainsail and jib (the slot).
SQUIB GENOA
The new Hyde Squib genoa is a big improvement on previous designs. It is considerably deeper and more powerful in the lower half without any sacrifice in pointing. It is flatter than its predecessor in the head which has improved windward performance in a blow. The foot now seals against the deck more effectively. The new webbing and clip hanks enable the jib to be hanked on and left flaked on the deck while the boat is on the mooring. Genoas to fit the new roller systems are also available to the same design.
