SONATA
Over the last 3 years Hyde Sails have been working closely with the Sonata class to develop a new range of sails. we are currently up to version 3 in as many years!
Version 3 has seen a successful opening event. Leaving ‘the Apprentice’ leading Sonata in the Saileast series seeing off past Cowes week winners in the process. The Version 3 mainsail has changed a lot allowing better performance throughout the wind range. Flattening off the bottom 1/3 adding more luff curve and selecting a specialist outhaul car and reducing the bolt rope size for less friction. Making it easier to control throughout the windrange. The Genoa and Jib designs are still both proving to be fast across all the wind ranges. But to carry on the development process the Genoa is now also offered in Pentex laminate without Taffeta, this sail is more of a regatta option. The Spinnaker is an all-purpose sail built for both round the cans and windward leeward courses.
